Where they belong – Orkney Islands

Next wednesday, I will travel to the Orkney Islands, for the next chapter in my on-going project ‘Where they belong’.

The Orkney Islands is an archipelago in the Northern Isles of Scotland, situated off the north coast of Great Britain and comprises approximately 70 islands, of which 20 are inhabited.

Besides the stories of the land and the people living there, I will focus on climate change, as the land – and some of the oldest and best preserved Neolithic sites in Europe – are slowly disappearing in the sea.
